In 2015, Rock Stage Malmö made its debut at Malmöfestivalen.
The new rock area near Central Station attracted around 30,000 visitors! The economic model involves partial subsidies from Malmö Stad for costs such as tents, fences, electricity, water, and sanitation. The association covers the remaining expenses, including permits, security guards, artist fees, stage rental, sound, lights, and all other equipment.
Malmö Festival is completely free for all visitors, making food and beverage sales the association's sole source of income. When you visit us during Malmö Festival, purchasing food or drinks helps sustain the rock scene. Plus, you get to enjoy free live music!
Rock Stage is located by the canal just outside Malmö Central.
